Operational Systems Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA (on-site client environment)
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Compensation: Competitive, Excellent Benefits

We are looking for a strong technical expert, looking to utilize a multi-disciplined approach towards applying cybersecurity tactics to both offensive and defensive perspectives, and design, develop, enhance, and maintain new and existing mission-focused software capabilities. You'll be part of a multi-faceted team of computer operators, SME's, and systems experts with a joint task of developing web-based systems that improve the efficiency, usability, automation and standardization of our project.

The appropriate candidate should have experience with the following:
- Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
- 5+ years of specific experience working in software engineering, application development and/or web application development and deployment.
- Professional experience and demonstrated ability with at least one systems-level programming language, such as: GoLang, C++, C, etc.
- Significant experience with both Python, Ruby and Java language software development.
- Comprehensive skills in one or more scripting languages, such as Perl, Bach, or others.
- Experience in debugging, software build pipelines, and code review.
- Experience developing for Linux servers and using the Linux command-line environment.
- Experience with configuring Linux servers/VMs and utilities to match real-world scenarios.
- Experience with standard web technologies such as: HTTP, JSON, Apache/Nignix, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL queries and database engines such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of network topology and standard internet communications protocols.
Desired Skills:
- Experience developing software for cyber threat hunting applications.
- Ability to understand user requirements and develop those requirements into solutions.
- Ability to research, analyze, prioritize, problem solve, and work several tasks concurrently with minimum supervision.
- Familiarity with containerization environments, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
