Currently we have an immediate need to add an experienced:

Data Engineer
Location: McLean, VA (on-site client environment)
Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
Compensation: Competitive, Excellent Benefits

You will work as part of a mission-critical and fast-paced team working on processing large amounts of images, extracting and enriching metadata, and displaying resulting data in meaningful ways for other key stakeholders and teams. You will utilize a mix of COTS and custom-made tools and technologies, as well as build integrations within a variety of internal and external partner applications.

Required Qualifications:

• Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
• Demonstrated experience building production data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows at scale.
• Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Demonstrated experience with advanced Python programming skills including data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and data engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated experience understanding data security, privacy, governance, and compliance.
• Experience with containerization such as Docker, or Podman, and deploying data applications in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS services (in particular S3, Lambda, and Step Functions).
• Experience with PosgreSQL and MySQL in production environments, including performance tuning and schema design.
